Who We Are
Life in Ideas operates https://lifeinideas.com from the United States. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. This policy explains how information is handled when you browse our website or contact us.
Information You Provide
When you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide, your message and attachments. We use this information to respond, investigate corrections and manage your inquiry. Please do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
Where comments are enabled, WordPress collects the details entered in the comment form, along with an IP address and browser information to help identify spam. Approved comments and the display name you choose may be public. Your email address is not displayed with your comment. If an avatar is loaded through Gravatar, an email-derived identifier may be sent to that service; its handling of information is explained in Automattic’s Privacy Policy.
Technical Information and Cookies
Our hosting and website systems may process IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, timestamps and error information to deliver pages, maintain security and troubleshoot problems. Hosting is provided through hosting.com.
WordPress uses cookies for login sessions and account preferences. A login-page test cookie lasts until the browser is closed. Login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks if Remember Me is selected; display preferences can last one year. A cookie recording an edited post expires after one day. If you choose to save your comment details, those convenience cookies last one year. You can remove or block cookies in your browser, although some functions may stop working.
Product Images, Affiliate Links and Third-Party Websites
Some product images load from retailer servers, including Amazon. Loading those images can send your IP address and browser request information to the image provider.
Life in Ideas uses Amazon affiliate links. When you follow an affiliate link, Amazon may use cookies or other technologies to attribute qualifying purchases and operate its services. Amazon handles information collected on its services under its own privacy notice and cookie practices. We do not receive your payment details or delivery address through an ordinary affiliate referral.
Other embedded content, when present, can allow its provider to collect information as if you visited that provider’s website. You can manage cookies through your browser and review the relevant provider’s privacy settings. See our Affiliate Disclosure for the commercial relationship behind affiliate links.
How Information Is Used and Shared
We use information to operate the website, answer messages, manage comments, address abuse and meet applicable legal requirements. Hosting, email and other service providers may process information as needed to perform those functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website and its users.
Retention and Security
We keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle the inquiry and related records. Comments and their metadata may remain indefinitely unless removed. Technical records and backups follow the operational retention practices of the relevant service providers. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Your Choices and Requests
You can contact us to ask about information associated with your email address, request access or correction, or request deletion. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights. We may need to verify a request and may retain information needed for security, recordkeeping or legal obligations. Browser controls can limit cookies; third-party privacy choices must be managed with the relevant provider.
International Visitors and Children
The website is operated from the United States. Information may be processed in the United States or other locations used by our service providers. The site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the website and its services change. The updated version will appear on this page with a revised date. For questions, email [email protected].
